Overview

The Registrar carries out enforcement actions on regulated financial institutions, individuals, employers (in respect of Pension Act) and other financial services providers where there is non-compliance with financial services laws. The main objective of enforcement is effective deterrence anchored on early detection of misconduct and prompt action.

Device

The Registrar can take a wide range of enforcement actions including: administrative penalties; directions; orders; removal of directors or employees; and licence revocation, variation or suspension.
